A little about myself.

I've always been an artist at heart with a passion for storytelling. I joined the U.S. Air Force in 2016 to be a broadcast journalist because I knew I wanted to go into filmmaking, and I thought I could learn a lot and gain some valuable experience as an artist and as a person. After basic training, I attended the Defense Information School on Fort Meade, MD, where I learned broadcast writing, radio production, video production and became familiar with AP style. I went on to serve over two years as a Public Affairs broadcaster at Cannon Air Force Base, NM, where I honed my skills further and had the opportunity to compete in the Department of Defense Visual Storytelling Workshop 2018. Shortly thereafter I was selected for an overseas assignment to Kunsan Air Base, South Korea, as an AFN broadcaster. I spent a year producing video stories for American Forces Network in the Pacific in addition to hosting and producing weekly radio shows. From Korea, I applied to the 1st Combat Camera squadron, where I was accepted and arrived in Charleston, SC, August of 2020 to begin a new journey. I spent the next 6 years as aerial Combat Camera, transitioning from active duty to the reserves in 2023. I began my first civilian job as a Senior Graphic Artist in 2024, and I am continually seeking to better myself and improve my skills as a creative. I am an extremely driven craftsman, I thrive in collaborative environments, and I am an experienced leader.
